I saw Jerko Elder Yesterday
by Why Georgia inyesterday i was at mcdonalds with my sons and my best friend and her kids, it was icky and raining so we were letting the kids get out some energy in the new play area.
son # 1 had to go potty so we go off to the bathroom.
all of a sudden i just stopped, sitting in mcdonalds is the elder who harrassed me, spread rumors about me and sent my husband out in field service with a more suitable unmarried sister.

I am not afraid of this elder...if anything I am afraid for his safety if I ever see him and my children are not around. He sent my husband out in service with an unmarried sister and encouraged my husband to become friends with her because she would be a good wife. Luckily, my husband is honest and loves me or else he might have thought it was Elder sanctioned infidelity. Then when I started pushing hubby about the WTS and what a sham it was, he started harrassing me and telling people all kinds of lies. Very nasty lies.
When I saw him at the Memorial 4 years ago, I told him to his face that I hated him and he was not to speak with me or pretend we are friends because we know that's not true.
Fast forward 4 years...I've heard of him, seen him from afar...but no face to face until McDonalds and then twice today.
I will not, start shouting and acting a fool unless I feel truly threatened. Because I have two little sets of eyes on me at all times (almost) I feel I need to set a good example and not go crazy towards him.
But as I said...if I am alone....he's got 4 years of hate coming at him.

Just thought I'd update you all that I saw Jerko Elder today twice. I think I need to move. Once in the post office and a second time at the Dunkin Donuts 20 minutes later.
He said " Hello Chrystal, I thought that was you the other day. How is ____________ (husband) and _______________ (1st son)....? and who is this little one" (I was with my youngest son - 1st son was at school).
I again, didn't say a thing to him. The girl who was getting my coffee who I see daily gave me a quizzical look because I am usually a very friendly person. I said "Watch out for that guy, he's a Jehovahs Witness and he'll try to convert you then stalk you." She started laughing and then stopped because I wasn't laughing and said...Are you serious?
I said Yep...She started laughing again and promised not to convert.
I left her laughing and him standing looking like a statue.
Why did his company have to move into my town? I suppose this is the universes' way of making me deal with unfinished business?
Oh well...
If I see him again and none of my children are with me he'd better watch out.

I just got this
by fullofdoubtnow ini just took my mum home with her shopping, and she gave me a letter from a sister in my old kh.
the sister was one of my best friends for years, and one of the few people outside the elders who i told i was about to da, and why.
she knows i have moved recently, but doesn't know my new address, so she dropped this letter at my mums this morning:.

I think you can be friends or at least friendly with JW's as long as you are not in a angry phase of life.
I have a friend that I grew up with who I see whenever I go back to California. She knows my husband is a JW and has in the past talked about the "Truth" with me. I explained to her why I don't believe what she does and hope that we can still be friends like we were before I married my husband. She will make a comment about a meeting or assembly from time to time...but I don't see it any differently than my best friend who is Catholic talking about going to mass.
I know I could not have been friends with my childhood friend when my husband was first fading. She would have gotten a heaping helping of WTS hate if she had said any kind of Witness speak to me.
Oh well, live and learn...and live and let live if you want to be friends...

i am in helsinki, finland and am very very very tired.

Anyone heard of "freecycling"
by ballistic inapparently this started in the us so some of you guys may have heard about it, and it's just arrived in the uk on yahoo groups.
i think some may view it as a bit "chavy" like jh's thread on going through people's bins, but i see it as a great idea for getting rid of stuff without it going to land fill or damaging the environment.
i've also asked people for things like broken laptops and so on to fix and make good of them.. "this freecycle group matches people who have things they need to get rid of with.

Unfortunately, I can't say anything sadistically sexual to him because usually my children are with me and my oldest asks too many questions and repeats too many things verbatum! Now if I am alone and run over him...I mean run into him, I can definately say whats on my mind!
I know it is only a matter of time until I run into him again. Our neighborhood gets covered every 3 weeks in FS, most everyone at our old hall knows we purchased an old Church in Attleboro....2 + 2 = 4
It's a small area and he now works 2 miles from my house. I only hope I don't see him when my husband is with me because even though he doesn't care for the guy, he will be kind and deferential because after all he is an ELDER........ooooooooooooooooooooo big woopy!

often i notice people around here, driving slowly in front of each garbage can, on trash day, and some stop to pick up things that they think they can sell and make money with or for themselves.. have you ever done this or witnessed it?

I have and I continue to. I don't care what people think.
I sell on ebay and I also moderate a local freecycle list. I have found some beautiful antiques that needed just a little work. I have found mirrors and tons of antique dishes.
Last week someone left a perfectly beautiful little tykes girls make up table out at the curb with a bunch of other items. I picked it up and tossed it into the back of my truck. I donated it to my son's schools garage sale.
